Recommended Continuous Hinge Used for Ramp On Wells Cargo Trailer

Question:

My application is for a hinged extension for the upper edge of a fold-down loading ramp at the rear of a Wells Cargo 6x10foot enclosed utility trailer. This is to create a smooth transition between the ramp and the ground when the ramp swings down to ground level. I purchased a PLR841 on order #108185918 thinking that each leg would be 3inch wide but find that the total width is only 3, so it will not serve the purpose. These ramp extensions are pretty common, so I wonder if you have something similar other than your PLR844, which seems heavier than necessary and not quite wide enough.

The widest continuous hinge we offer is the Continuous Steel Hinge part # PLR844 which measures 5" wide overall, so 2-1/2" for each side. If this will work for you then great but if not then I am afraid we would not have any other like alternatives.
