The wire shown is for the brake magnets if electric brakes are used.

The spindles are compatible with a 25580 inner bearing with a 1.75 inch inner diameter and a LM67048 outer bearing with a 1.25 inch inner diameter. The grease seals used would be dependent on the hub, but the surface of the spindle that the seal would ride against is 2.225 inches in diameter.

The axles would be compatible with a hydraulic 12 x 2 inch brake assembly like # 23-324-325 and a # 8-201-5UC3-EZ hub/drum assembly. The spring seats are welded in place. Rather than gently trying to remove and reuse them, you'd be better off removing them with a grinder and welding two # TRSS300 spring seats in the desired location.
