What size butt connector and wire should I order with this light?

The wire leads for the Optronics # BUL78CB are 18 gauge, so you'd want to use the appropriate gauge wire. We don't carry bulk 18 gauge wire, but 16 gauge like part # 16-1-1 and heat shrink butt connectors like # DW05744-5 would work well for you. The connector will be a little big for the 18 gauge wire, but all you'd need to do is strip back an extra 1/4 inch of the insulation and double the copper back upon itself to add some thickness.
