Can The BoatBuckle Fishing Rod Holder Be Cut Down To Size

Question:
These look great However my Jon boat where I need to mount them is not this wide Can I cut in half and have 2 mounts and be able to mount each half of each side? Thoughts? Thanks

It is possible to cut down the BoatBuckle Vertical Rod Hold-Down PLUS System part # IMF15435 to fit the space that you want to mount them in but the strap that holds the rods into the foam piece will not be able to properly fasten so I do not recommend it. The foam piece of the holder measures 11 inches long by 2 inches wide.
