Question:
We ordered and installed the sway pro 2000 as suggested by one of your experts. We have a 2 1/2 inch receiver on the truck. The tongue weight is around 1400 and we carry some weight in the truck. The 8th link is way to stiff but the 7th is acceptable with not a lot of sway so far. The owners manual suggests the 10th link. Should we have the 1500 lb bars? Do you offer any kind of trade from 2000 to 1500lb bars?

Expert Reply:
I spoke with Blue Ox and they stated that if the 7th link is the one that works best for you on the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution System part # BXW2000 then that is completely fine and you can use this without issue. That said, if the 7th link puts the spring bars too close to the ground then that is when you would switch to the 1,500 lb spring bars, part # BXW4008. I would not be able to trade these out for the 2,000 lb spring bars you have now unfortunately.
