how much weight can i have on the receiver of my 2012 equinox 6 cylinder AWD I know i can tow 3500 lbs how much weight can be on receiver

I took a look at the online version of the owner's manual for your 2012 Chevy Equinox and it did not list a specific tongue weight capacity, which refers to the vertical weight pushing down on the hitch. Typically though a vehicle's tongue weight limit will be 10 percent of its towing capacity, which in the case of your Equinox would be 350 pounds.

To verify this you can try contacting a local Chevy dealer with your VIN.
