Question:

Id like to buy a bike rack for my car to transport 2 kids bike and my cruiser. Will this rack fit my car? If so, can it handle the weight of all three of these bikes? Thanks so much!

Thule does list the OutWay 3, # TH56BV, as a fit for your 2012 Mazda 5. The arms on this rack measure 6-1/2 to 10-1/2 inches apart, outside to outside. If the top tubes on the kids bikes are longer than this, they will fit. Otherwise, you will need to use adapters on the bikes that will not fit.

On women's, children's, and alternative frame bikes, I recommend using the bike adapter bar # TH982XT to carry the bikes level.

The weight of the rack itself is not much, under 19 pounds, so add that weight to the combined weight of the bikes to see how much you will be putting on the vehicle. The weight will be somewhat distributed so that the vehicle will be able to handle it.
