Question:

I am trying to u deters day if a separate power wire needs to be run to the battery or not. One video show it and one does not can you help me clarify which harness I will need and if it does need to be run to the battery. Thanks

For your 2019 Kia Soul the trailer wiring kits do require you to run a power wire up to the vehicle battery. The Curt part # C56222 that you referenced fits up to a 2018 Soul which might be where your confusion is.

The correct Curt kit for your 2019 model is the part # C56220 which does require you run the battery wire. I attached install instructions for this kit for you to check out as well.
