Can 3" Accessory Fit With Smaller Hitch Receiver Opening

Will a 3” trailer hitch slide into the opening of my 2017 2500 hd?

Your 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500HD will likely have either a 2" or a 2-1/2" trailer hitch receiver. You can confirm this by measuring the inside height and width of the receiver on your pickup (see attached). If you are trying to use a 3" accessory in a smaller receiver then there unfortunately aren't any adapters that work for your application. If you do have a 3" receiver then yes, you can use an accessory with a 3" shank, like part # BWTS30049B.
