Question:
Howdy, 1997 F-350 CCLB Dually. I have a question about which hitch receiver to use on my truck. I would want a class V hitch. I do have a ranch hand but it doesnt have lights built in. From the bottom of my truck frame rails to the bottom of my bumper is about 5 1/2. It would be nice to have a stock hight hitch vs a hitch receiver. Thank you

There are a couple of great options for a Class V hitch for your 1997 Ford F-350 truck, which will depend on if you have a standard bumper or a deep drop bumper.
If you have a deep drop bumper the best option is the B&W Heavy-Duty Trailer Hitch Receiver - Class V # BWHDRH25198 which is made to fit your '97 F-350 and has a 16,000 lb towing capacity and 1,600 lb tongue weight capacity. I have added a link to a video install we did of this hitch on a '97 F-350 with a deep drop bumper as well as a photo showing it installed so you can see how it will look on your truck.
If you have the standard bumper I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V # C15300, though please note this will not fit if you have a rollpan bumper, though I do not imagine that is an issue on an F-350. This hitch also has a 16,000 lb towing capacity and 1,600 lb tongue weight capacity. I have added a photo a customer sent in of this hitch on their Ford truck as well as a link to a video install for you to check out.
