Question:
How is the air released from the system? I see that that app can control pressure settings, but where is the air exhausted from specifically if the compressor has a check valve on the air supply?

That's a smart question, though the Air Command Compressor System w/ Light Duty Compressor - Wireless - Smartphone Enabled - Single Path # F2610 does not actually have an air exhaust release because it does not need one. Because it does not actually hold air like an air tank, the compressor does not require an air release.
This compressor is a perfect complement to air bags such as the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted # F2582 which fit your 2015 Ford F-150. The compressor is super easy to use because of its smartphone operation and comes with everything you need for installation.
I have added links to a number of video reviews for you check out as well.
