Replacement Ball Mount Options for Curt Friction Sway Control System

Question:

I have a Curt brand friction sway control arm and need to purchase the trailer mounted ball control bracket. Is the Reese #RP58062 Sway Control Plate w Ball 1.25inch compatible with the Curt equipment I have? The ball sizes are the same and I can see who ever owned the trailer before me took off a Reese plate - I recognize the hole pattern already drilled in the trailer frame. I want to cover up and re-use the holes already drilled into the trailer frame.

I spoke with my contact at Reese and he said the Reese Replacement Ball-Plate Assembly, part # RP58062, should work with your Curt friction sway control system assuming the ball sizes are the same. You will want to make sure the holes on your trailer match up with the holes on the ball-plate if you want to use the existing holes. I have included an image that shows the measurements between the screw holes from the center hole to center hole.
