Can the EcoHitch Trailer Hitch 306-X7387 Be Installed On a Leased 2018 Mini Countryman

Question:
I have a 2018 mini countryman all4 and need a tow hitch for just a bike rack. In reading your recommendations the eco has a 2” recevier which is great so I can use my bike rack. Can it hold up to four bikes or is that too much weight? For the install does the bumper need to come off? Does anything else need to be modified? For example cutting the heat Shield? My cars a lease and want to keep costs low. Thank you.

The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 306-X7387 which is a fit for your 2018 Mini Countryman has a tongue weight capacity of 300 lbs therefore the weight of the bike rack and four bikes cannot exceed 300 lbs. In regards to installation, the rear bumper fascia will need to come off but there is no way around this as it installs under the support beam which is how it is able to retain the hidden design. There is no drilling or cutting required for the rest of the process so it will all be reversible when you go to give the vehicle back to the dealer.
