The RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit # RAS4611 will in no way damage the U-bolts of your 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500. If you take a look at the accompanying photo of this kit on a Silverado you can see how it installs to the side of the U-bolts.

You are making a very intelligent choice with this kit because it is the best way to enhance the suspension for your truck. The reason for that is because the RAS is an active system which works to continually reinforce your original leaf spring suspension. The force normally put on your Silverado's current leaf springs, either when carrying cargo or when making a tight turn, gets transferred to the RAS Enhancement Kit, allowing your leaf springs to work normally.
