When Does the Shank Rise Occur On the Reese 3 Bike Rack
Updated 07/23/2019 | Published 07/21/2019 >
Question:
Some pictures show this with an offset, some do not. At 6 1/2 inches out from the hitch pin I would need this to start offsetting up by 1/2 inch up at 5 inches out or so. I also would like to know how far back and how far up the racks are. I am trying to see if this will work with my bikes while I haul this particular trailer Sylvan Go Sport. I need approximately 24 inches in height and a maximum of maybe 30 - 32 inches back for the outermost bike.

The Reese 3 Bike Rack part # 63123 does indeed have a shank rise. I went out to our warehouse for you to measure the shank and I think it will work with your Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount part # D210 and Sylvan Go Sport Trailer. The rise portion of the shank starts at about 4-1/2" away from the center of the hitch pin hole and by the time you get to 6-1/2" out, there is 1-1/4" in rise when measuring from the bottom of the bend to the bottom of the shank (with adapter). The distance from the center of the last cradle to the center of the hitch pin hole will be around 30" long. The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the furthest cradle is around 42" tall.
I have attached a photo to help clarify the shank dimensions.
