Question:
I am fairly sure the motor needs to be replaced, what motor do I need for the kwikee step? The only function that didnt work correctly in the override did not seem to make any difference on or off, but i figured the step should work anyway. No action from the step, I tried to test the motor from a battery by touching hot leads from battery didnt go to well but no action from motor. With a volt meter I checked wires going to motor from control unit and when I open the door it shows 13 volts for a time then goes to 0 and same when I close the door. So I figure the motor is getting power. The step is free as I have pulled the pin out and it operates well. automatic step on2015 thor ace 27.1 motorhome single step i think series 28 Thank for any help you can give me,

You are correct in that the motor is bad and the correct replacement motor for the Kwikee 28 Series Steps is the Lippert Components Kwikee Motor and Screws part # LC379147.
