While I can's speak for Towmaster because we do not carry any of their products, when you are using the Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes # RM-2050-1 or Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Self-Steering Wheels and Electric Brakes RM-2000-1 (Discontinued), according to the owners manual you need to put your 2014 Scion xD in neutral before towing it on a dolly.
