Question:
2008 BMW X5. My boat trailer was rewired with LED lights. I now have a hyperflash issue. I believe the answer is to install one ALEDRST2B on each new LED trailer light, agreed? Challenge is the boat trailer gets submerged every time I put the boat ir or out of the water. I understand that the ALEDRST2B cannot be submerged. What is the workaround? Put incandescent lights on the trailer?

You are correct that you should not submerge load resistors such as the Optronics Load Resistor for LED Lights # ALEDRST2B you mentioned but there are a couple of solutions that won't require you to switch from LED to incandescent.
The first would be if your 2008 BMW X5 has a 7-way; if so you can use the 7-Way to 5-Way/4-Way Trailer Adapter for Vehicles with Lamp-Out Sensors Towing Trailers with LEDs # C35FR or Trailer Connector Adapter w/ Lamp-Out Sensor Bypass - 7-Way RV to 7-Way RV # 20142 which are designed to work with German vehicles that are towing trailers with LEDs. The low draw from the LED trailer lights is causing the hyperflashing issue and these adapters are designed to remedy that problem.
You may not have a 7-way though, and if not you can still use load resistors, but not the plug-in Optronics. Instead, you can use Load-Resistors # DI34ZR, but since these also cannot be submerged you would need to install them via a Junction Box such as # 38656 mounted near the trailer tongue which does not get submerged. You would run the wires from your LED lights with wire such as # 16-4B-1.
