Best Trailer Hitch For a Bike Rack On a 2016 BMW X1

Question:

Will I be able to fold up my Thule bike rack without hitting the bumper of my 2016 X1 if I use the Curt Hitch? I have an older model Thule hitch mount frame attachment 1.25/2 Adjustable receiver bike rack for 2 bikes.

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13303 sitst 4" behind the rear edge of the bumper when measuring to the center of the hitch pin hole. I am not sure which Thule bike rack you have as there are several in the platform style but so long as you have more than 4" between the center of the hitch pin and the closest part of the bike rack (while folded) which you should, it will clear your rear bumper.
