Updated 07/09/2019 | Published 07/07/2019 >
Question:
My key broke off in my Thule cargo box so I drilled out the core to open it with a screwdriver. Now my problem is I cant get the core out to replace with a new one. How do I do this? The master key isnt working.

There is a change key to remove an old lock core and install a new lock core but this would not work if the lock core has been drilled. In order to remove the lock core you will just need to continue drilling, working your way up to a larger drill bit until the lock core releases. Once it does you can then use the Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders part # TH450200 to install a new one which comes with the change key.
