Question:

I need to replace my black tank holding cable as it has rusted fast. Can I swap out the oem provided 72inch flexible lasalle for a venterra cable. Given the RV is 1 1/2 years old and the lasalle cable for whatever reason as failed, I was thinking of trying another manufacturer. Also, the gate valve does work smoothly but does it make sense to swap out the gate valve at this time given the access to it. My confidence in the lasalle gate valve is not failing prematurely is not high. Thanks

Yes, you can swap out the LaSalle Bristol Cable-Actuated RV Waste Valve part # 34466N4BB72GM that you have for the Valterra Waste Valve Body w/ Flexible Cable part # TC372. The swap will be a direct, bolt-on replacement as you can reuse the spigot flanges that you have now with the above Valterra Waste Valve Body w/ Flexible Cable.
