are the BAK revolver x4s and the invis-a-rack compatible to use on a 2016 ford f150 with the 5.7 foot bed. or what higher security covers are compatible with the invis-a-rack??

A tonneau cover and a ladder rack can be compatible with each other on a truck such as your 2016 Ford F-150 short bed as long as they do not require the same mounting point for installation.

The best combination that is known to be compatible is the BAK Revolver X4s hard tonneau cover # BAK39ZR and the Thule SR Sliding Ladder Rack # TH43002XT-508. The X4 also works with the 3-bar SR rack # TH43002XT-508EX which includes a 3rd cantilever extension bar for over the cab.

The Revolver and SR systems work ideally together since the ladder rack installs on top of the bed rails and the X4 cover installs inside the bed rails. Please note that the SR rack you referenced, part # TH43002XT-501, is for 6-1/2-foot bed trucks. The DeeZee Invis-A-Rack # DZ951550 is not compatible with the X4s because it needs to clamp on to the same point inside the bed rails.
