Where is Vacuum Breaker on RV Shower Valve 277-000007
Updated 06/27/2019 | Published 06/26/2019 >
Question:
etrailer explained that the vacuum breaker on a faucet such as # 277-000007 should be installed facing down toward the floor, but the photo attached of this faucet shows the vacuum breaker in the 12 oclock position not the 6 oclock position. Am I misinterpreting the photo? Should I be installing the faucet just as it is in the photo with the vacuum break above the faucet?

If you refer to the photo I linked which shows the vacuum breaker on faucet # 277-000007 you'll note that this is on the underside of the assembly. This small air hole must face down to function properly. The top threaded fixture is the attachment point for the shower hose.
I certainly understand your question since we show that hose attachment under the heading "Vacuum Breaker Outlet" on the faucet's page and this is incorrect. The vacuum breaker is the small hole on the bottom of the faucet and it must face down.
