Question:

Is the Dexter back plate of these 6000# self adjusting brakes the same as Lippert 6000# axles?

Yes, the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-464-465 that you referenced fits the same 5 bolt mounting flange found on Lippert and Dexter 6k trailer axles.

This kit is for 7k axles though so you'd want the 6k kit part # 23-458-459 which also fits and is same dimensions. The difference between these two kit is the magnet sensitivity. While it might seem tempting to install brakes with a higher weight capacity it actually will make setting the brake controller up more difficult. Basically the only difference is the sensitivity of the magnet. Using too high of an assembly will make setting the correct amount of braking pressure difficult as it will seem like they are coming on too hard or too soft.
