Does Transmission Cooler Need to be Pre-Filled Before Install on Vehicle

Question:
Hi Im installing additional tr.oil cooler do I have to filll it with tr. fluid or it will be an over fill thanks

When installing a transmission cooler it is not necessary to pre-fill the cooler with fluid. That will only cause a bigger mess most likely. It's not like an oil filter where it's a good idea to pre-fill before installing it.
You'll just want to install the cooler and then after that's completed check the fluid level on the dipstick and add additional fluid as needed. I'd grab an extra quart to have ready as typically some fluid gets lost during the install process and then you'll need to offset the additional volume that the cooler adds as well.
