How to Determine if Kuat NV Bike Rack Will Allow Truck Tailgate to Open

Question:
Will I be able to fold my tailgate down without hitting it on on the rack? Vehicle is a 2018 F150 4x4

Expert Reply:
The Kuat NV 2.0 Base bike rack # BA22B measures 11-7/8 inches tall from the center of the hitch receiver opening to the top of the rack closest to the vehicle when the arms are folded down. Lower your tailgate and measure from the center of the hitch opening to the bottom of the tailgate. If that measurement is more than 11-7/8 inches then you can lower the tailgate on your 2018 Ford F-150.
