Is there a gunwale bracket Ive see one Thule that will allow a kayak to be hauled upside down on a Yakima round bar rack? With AIS inspections out West they must be able to see that the boat has been drained. I dont want them crawling around on my truck or need to remove yak from rack to inspect. With my sit-in kayak it can only drain upside down.

I recommend the Malone BigFoot Pro gunwale-style carrier # MPG112MD for use on your round Yakima roof rack bars. The BigFoot Pro features tall bases made of molded nylon for durability and corrosion resistance and it includes both load straps and bow/stern tie downs. Its 165-lb weight rating means it's good for kayaks and also for canoes. The similar Thule Portage Canoe Carrier # TH819 also fits your round bars but it has a slightly lower weight rating than the Malone.
