Question:

Ill be using this hitch for a bicycle rack. In watching the video there is a mention of using a three-inch or a four-inch hole saw for cutting the bottom fascia. Which size should I be using? I expect to remove and replace the received at least once a year and if is is easy enough and we have no bike trips planned Id remove and replace it more often. Does the Undercover Access Hole Cover Receiver Item # 306-X7223 require the one sized hole over another? As it describes keeping dirt and moisture out, should I be removing the receiver every time Im not using the bike rake?

The installation instructions for the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH84GR call for either a 3-1/2 inch or 4 inch hole saw. The advantage for the larger 4 inch hole is just more hand clearance to allow for easier mounting when inserting the receiver. I honestly just recommend going with the smallest possible hole (3-1/2 inches) as I'm sure you aren't overly enthused to cut into your Tesla's bumper fascia. HOWEVER, we have found that cutting is only needed on models before 2019. Beginning with the 2019 model, the ere is a cut out panel already there so cutting is not needed.

It does not matter which hole size you use with regards to installing the Undercover Access Hole Cover # 306-XA2002, as it's just going to be attaching to the hitch itself. The hitch receiver will do a nice enough job of keeping debris and moisture from getting inside the fascia cutout so you don't need to remove it and use the cover every time you're not using the bike rack. Again, it is recommended that you wait until you see your particular set-up before you purchase this part. It may not be needed.
