We can help you with trailer brake controller installation in your 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan.
To install the Draw-Tite Activator # 5504 in your GC you'll use wiring pigtail # 20127 along with install kit # ETBC7. If the GC already has basic 4-pole trailer wiring you need no other parts; if it does not have a working 4-pole use part # 18252 which will connect to your existing tail light wiring.
4-Pole kit # 18252 includes a circuit tester which you can use to locate the correct vehicle wire to make the connection needed for triggering the brake controller. Controller wire colors are standardized and this makes the hookup straightforward. The controller BLACK wire connects to the battery + terminal using the 30-amp circuit breaker included in ETBC7; the WHITE wire goes to battery ground; the BLUE output wire runs to the included 7-way socket; and the RED wire connects to the wire at the cold side of the brake pedal light switch, which is the wire that carries voltage ONLY when you press the pedal. You'll use the circuit tester to find that one specific wire.
The two linked brake controller articles give you step-by-step instructions for completing the Activator installation.
