Comparing Roadmaster RAS, Timbrens, and SumoSprings for a 2019 Chevy Silverado 2500HD

Updated 06/05/2019 | Published 06/04/2019

Question:

Hi - have a 2019 Chevy 2500HD short bed diesel that I use to tow a 5th wheel rv. When fully loaded I am very close to my maximum payload in the truck and want something to help level it when driving. I understand that nothing will increase the payload, I only want to stop it squatting at the back. I had almost decided on the Roadmaster system but then looked at the Sumosprings and now Im totally confused as to what way to go. Im not against airbags if they would be best but prefer a fit and forget system if possible.

The best fit and forget systems we have for your 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD are going to be between the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System part # TGMRCK25D and the SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs part # SSR-203-47-2. These systems both dampen the load placed on the vehicle and allow the factory suspension to still work accordingly whereas the Roadmaster Active Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kits work by preloading the factory suspension with no dampening outside of the factory jounce springs.

When comparing the Timbrens and SumoSprings, the SumoSprings tend to retain a bit more of the factory ride quality although the Timbrens provide more support. I recommend the Timbrens if you are maxing out the payload but I am sure you will be happy with either.
