Question:
I am planning to go with the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Single Jaw and the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Chevy/GMC OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package - 6-1/2foot Bed - 21K as I have the factory puck system installed. Just wanted to confirm if I also need an additional Trailer Wiring Harness and if yes, which one would you recommend? Anything you can provide is appreciated. Thanks.

Demco's 21K Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel hitch # DM8550035 is an excellent choice for your 2018 Silverado 2500 with the OEM prep kit and it will install using matching rail kit # DM6194. For an in-bed wiring harness I recommend Demco's 5th wheel wiring kit # DM8555002 which plugs in at your factory 7-way. This harness will give you an easy to access point in the bed for connection of your 5th wheel's wiring. Please refer to the linked install video for the harness; and note that the factory 7-way will remain active too after this part is installed.
