Whats the difference with this product and the MPG4001

The Crossbars for Malone MicroSport Trailers - 78" Long - Galvanized - Heavy Duty # MPG4001 are an updated version of the Crossbars for Malone MicroSport Trailers - 78" MPG495.
They are 78" and can be used in place of MicroSport trailers that have shorter bars.

Can these bars also be used on the Malone Megasport trailer? My Megasport with its 86" bars is just a little too tight fitting into my single bay garage and I hesitate to cut them down. A 78" bar would be just about the right width. I cannot find a shorter bar for the Megasport on your or Malone's website. Thanks for your assistance!
