Question:
I have a Pelican Catch mode 110 and a Pelican Catch classic 100. One is 34.5inch wide and the other is 34inch wide. One is 11foot long and the other is 10foot long. I have a Ecolight 2 Trailer and having problems getting them both to sit in the racks that came with the trailer. Will these J-cradles allow me to carry the kayaks without any problems? I know I need two cradles for each kayak. Will they mount to the trailer without any big modifications.

The Malone EcoLight Sport Trailer with V-Style Carriers for 2 Kayaks part # MAL43FR only has 58" long crossbars, these are fine for most standard sit-in style kayaks as they are pretty narrow but won't work great with the wider sit-on style because you run out of crossbar space. In which case, the best option to fix this are longer crossbars, the Crossbars for Malone MicroSport Trailers part # MPG4001 which are 78" long and you can trim off any extra you don't need. This would be far more cost effective than two new sets of carriers anyhow and with the longer bars, you open the door to more gear.
I looked at the Pelican Catch 110 recently, nice kayak but ended up with a Perception Pescador instead.
