Replacement for Ventline RV Kitchen Range Hood

Question:

The switch on my ventline range hood. Has gone bad. I can only get it to work in all 4 positions off, light, fan, fan and light by holding the knob in certain position. What replacement switch do I need?

Thank you for the photo of the identification sticker on your Ventline range hood vent. Ventline no longer offers a replacement switch for this vent model.

If you want to try a quick fix some aerosol electrical contact cleaner like Caig De-Oxit or a similar product found at your local hardware store may dissolve any contaminants inside the switch or you can simply replace the vent with a new one. If you want to try the contact cleaner you'll want to apply it, operate the switch back and forth a few times and then re-apply it. Often waiting between applications gives the cleaner time to work.

If you prefer to replace the range hood you can refer to the linked page which shows all 12V vents like yours. These are offered in several combinations of width and depth dimensions. The most popular size is 20 x 12 like the black Ventline model # S0721-20BD-F-1.
