Is Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter Charger Compatible with Lithium Batteries

I have a 50amp 1997 Safari Sahara and I am looking to update to lithium batteries and the Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter/charger. Will the inverter support the charging needs of the lithium bank. What else would you recommend for protecting the inverter and batteries.

Hey Tony, thanks for reaching out!

The Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter Charger # 34275013 is compatible with lithium batteries.

For protection, it's best to use the 400 Amp Fuse Kit # 342GPDCKIT5 to protect the inverter and battery bank.

Thanks for your earlier reply. One other question, does the IC 2000 support transfer capability for the generator as well as the shore power?

@TonyB It will transfer from shore power to inverter power. You'll need an external transfer switch like the Go Power # 34270278 to switch between the inverter, shore power, and the generator.

@JonG I was hoping that I missed something in the documentation. The GoPower 2000 only handles the shore power to invert change over. No advantage to the GoPower unit if I still need a transfer switch for the gen. Thank you for clarifying that for me. I will only need a inverter's charger compatible for lithium batteries charging.
