Dimensions of Hitch Opening of Curt Hitch #13028

Question:
How far does the receiver protrude past a standard bumper and how far below the license plate on a 1973 Chevy K10 shortbed stepside? I am looking for about 1inch under the license plate and protrude 1inch past it. Is that possible?

Expert Reply:
The hitch tube of the Curt Hitch part # 13028 is going to be right at 4-1/2 inches below the frame it connects to and the opening would then be right at 7 inches forward of the rear most mounting hole. You'd have to compare that to your vehicle to determine where that would place the hitch opening relative to your vehicle.
