Question:

Hey, would my Hijacker FWH 24P Double Pivot Hitch mount on the 6175 adapter? I Have a 2018 ford f250 that I want to utilize the factory prep kit on.

The Demco Hijacker FWH-24P Hitch Head that you referenced could have came with either a UL base which mounts using horizontal rails or an SL base which using vertical rails. If you have the UL base then yes, you can use the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Ford OEM part # DM6175. However, if you have the SL base then the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Ford OEM will not work for you nor would there be a way to reuse this hitch on your 2018 Ford F-250 with the factory prep package.

If it turns out you cannot reuse the 5th wheel hitch you have now then for a replacement, I recommend the Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # C16520-16020 for short or part # C16520-16017 for long beds. This 5th wheel hitch will fit directly into the pucks on your F-250 so no adapter is needed. The Curt A16 has a set of interlocking dual jaws that grip the kingpin extremely tight so there is very minimal movement which makes for a better pull. The A16 also has a one-pin head removal system which allows for one person to be able to remove the hitch by themselves, in two pieces.
