Why Weld or Bolt On Ranch Hitch Universal 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter

Question:
Is it recommended in the instructions to spot weld 4 one inch welds or use 4 bolts to fasten. I can do either witch is better?

When installing the Andersen adapter part # AM3100 you either want to use 4 1-inch tack welds to the pin box or use the 4 included Grade 8 bolts. Either method is plenty strong but there are pros and cons of either.
If you have access to a welder the welding option is the easiest but most permanent. The bolts will be more in-depth to install but also easier to move if ever wanted.
