Question:

I bought a Reese Sidewinder to replace the Kingpin box on an Atwood 34 Model. The RO61300 turret that came with the Sidewinder does not fit on the pin box. Will a different turret work? Will the Sidewinder work with the Atwood pin box? I have a short bed F-150 SuperCrew with a Curt A16 fifth wheel. Will I need to add a roller slide instead of using the Sidewinder? Thanks

I wish I had better news for you but Sidewinders will only replace specific pin box models, and there are no Sidewinders that will work as replacements for a Atwood 34 pin box so you will need to use a sliding hitch.

If your F-150 has a 6-1/2 foot bed but you have the fixed (non-sliding) Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16120 you can convert it to a sliding hitch with just the Curt R16 Round Tube Slider # C16560.

Otherwise, if your F-150 has a 5-1/2 foot bed the only option is the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # DM8550040 because of its 22-1/2 inches of travel, which is the most available. This hitch will sit on industry-standard above-bed base rails.
