Troubleshooting Curt TriFlex Brake Controller Keeping Motorhome from Turning On
Question:
Hello I purchased a curt 51140 control and 51436 pigtail for my 2015 ford chassis motorhome. The vehicle will not start with the controller plugged into the factory harness. Do you have a remedy for this?

Expert Reply:
If your motorhome has the 2015 Ford F-450 cab and chassis that you input for your vehicle info then the Wiring Adapter # C51436 is the problem. You should actually be using the Wiring Adapter # C51432 for your TriFlex # C24VV instead.
When I spoke with my contact at Curt he said that for the Ford pickups if the wrong adapter is used then it does something to the anti-theft and keeps the vehicle from starting.
