Question:
I am trying to repair a damaged 14k trailer and the axles have been replaced. I think the hangers are in the wrong position. The A measurement is 27inch The equalizers are 13inch How far should the front hanger be to the center of the equalizer. Also, would this measurement be the same for the rear spring also?

Expert Reply:
I'd need to know what the length of your leaf springs are be able to figure out the proper hanger dimensions. What you'll want to do is go with the distance between the hangers that allows the distance between the equalizer side bolt center and the outside hangers to be right near 1/2 inch longer than the distance between the bolt centers of the leaf spring to ensure you get the correct shackle angle.
