I noticed you list the trailer as having a 275lb payload and Malone lists at 400. Whats the reason?

The Malone EcoLight Trailer # MAL53FR referenced in your question actually does have a payload capacity of 400 pounds. I verified this with Malone. From time to time parts get updated/upgraded so we appreciate you making us aware of this!
The trailer by itself (without accessories) weighs in at 145 pounds and its two 58 inch long square crossbars allow you to easily mount everything for your adventures. I have attached a couple short video reviews on this trailer that you can check out as well.
