Question:

This bar came up as a fit for a 2017 CRV and I am trying to work out the max size cargo box I can use on a 2018 CRV. Measurements, per your site, are based on the distance from the front bar to the cargo hatch-roof meeting point. What is that distance with these fitted? Thanks!

The Rhino-Rack RVP Roof Rack for Fixed Mounting Points # RRRVP46 is a fit for your 2018 Honda CR-V and will have similar spacing to other roof racks. The manufacturer doesn't give the dimensions from the fixed mounting points to the rear of the vehicle at the hatch seam but other manufacturers do so we can get a measurement for your Roof Rack. Yakima gives that dimension as 50 inches from the center of the front bar to that hatch seam. That is about 51-1/2 inches based on Thule measurements.

The largest box I can confirm is a fit is the Thule Force XT Rooftop Cargo Box - 18 cu ft # TH6358B. The smaller Yakima SkyBox NX 16 Roof Cargo Box - 16 cu ft # Y95AV is the largest option from Yakima that is a confirmed fit.
