Since you are wanting to use longer crossbars I recommend going with a Yakima roof rack because the slot on the bottom of the crossbars (where they mount to the feet) extend the whole length of the bar which means you can easily choose the length crossbar that you want to use on your 2019 Subaru Impreza.

Typically this roof rack consists of the 50" JetStream Bars # Y00425, the SkyLine Towers # Y53TR, and the Landing Pad 22 # Y00248. This mounts to fixed points on your roof and you can upgrade the system to locks with the kit # Y07204.

If you wanted to use longer crossbars (the 50" bars will sit past the feet a few inches on either side) you can use the 60" JetStream Bars # Y00426 with the same towers and landing gear. Just be sure that the 60" bars don't extend past your side mirrors. Both options have a 165 lb weight capacity so you have more than enough capacity for your 80 lb kayak.

For a kayak carrier I recommend the Yakima BigCatch # Y04091 which is a saddle style carrier that has a max weight rating of 150 lbs. This comes with tie-downs and clamps onto the JetStream crossbars. If you would like to use the T-Slots on the JetStream bars though you can use the Adapter Kit # Y04092 to do so.
