Though you can mount a fifth wheel hitch in your 2009 Ford F-150, I reached out to Demco who told me that due to the age of the Demco SL16 FWH-34 there are no brackets available which will work to fit that hitch in your '09 Ford F-150.
Due to that your best option to pull a fifth wheel with this truck is a new fifth wheel hitch along with an installation kit and base rails that are compatible.
The fifth wheel hitch I recommend for your 2009 Ford F-150 long bed is the Curt A16 # C16120 because of its combination of reliability, durability and ease of use. To mount this hitch you would need to install the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Ford F-150 # C16441-204.
The A16 will give you a highly secure connection with your trailer because of its interlocking dual jaw system that wraps totally around the king pin. It also has a unique and simple indicator system which will let you know if the jaws on the hitch are ready to couple, tow, or uncouple. This color-coded system, which you can check out in the accompanying photo along with the jaws, makes the process of hooking up or disconnecting your trailer much easier.
The Curt A16 has a fully articulating head which also eases the coupling process and built in zerk fittings so you can lube the hitch without issue. The A16 # C16120 has a 16,000 lb towing capacity and comes with a lifetime warranty.
The Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Ford F-150 # C16441-204 is the best option to add brackets and base rails because unlike the Semi-Custom Install Kit # C16300-204, the Custom Kit does not require drilling into the frame of your F-150 to install, which is not only good for your truck but will save you time during the installation.
I've added links to video reviews of hitch and install kit for you to take a look at.
