Do I Need to Ground Wiring Harness C55335 On A Chevy Express Van
Updated 03/11/2019 | Published 03/08/2019 >
Question:
Hello. Bought your t connector kit for my Chevy express van. Wiring connectors are pretty foolproof BUT it calls for grounding a white wire. Every white wire on this harness is tied into a modular plug. There are no extra white wires on the harness or converter box. Your stock picture on your site also shows no extra white wire yet the instructions call for it. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance.

I contacted the tech at Curt and the wiring harness part # C55335 is internally grounded inside the wiring harness. There is not a need to ground the white wire separately because it is built into the wiring harness. The instructions Curt sent were universal instructions. You can just plug into the vehicle's wiring behind the driver's side and passenger's-side rear interior trim panels and it works.
