Question:
I read somewhere that Thule recommends not putting a T2 Pro XT 2 on your towed vehicle. I will have a 35 motorhome with a 2 door Jeep Wrangler. Is this true that I should not put this bike rack on the Jeep while it is towed by the RV?

It is true that you should not use your Thule T2 Pro XTR 2 Bike Platform Rack # TH83JV on your Jeep Wrangler when it is being flat towed. The reason is the amount of movement that far behind your motorhome results in the rack not being stable; this is also why this rack should not be used on the back of a trailer.
What you can do instead is use a dual hitch receiver adapter which will allow you to both flat tow your Jeep and use your bike rack. The correct one will depend on the rise or drop you need, just like when you use a high-low adapter for flat towing. All of these adapters have a have a towing capacity of 10,000 lbs and tongue weight capacity of 400 lbs.
- Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter, 2-1/4" Drop/Rise # RM-077-2
- Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter, 4" Drop/Rise # RM-077-4
- Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter, 6" Drop/Rise # RM-077-6
- Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter, 8" Drop/Rise # RM-077-8
- Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter, 10" Drop/Rise # RM-077-10
I've added a link to a video review of these adapters for you to check out as well as a link to a help article which shows you to measure for the correct rise or drop.
