The Curt Hitch part # C13900 is a multi-fit hitch for many different vehicles but it is not a confirmed fit for the 2001 Toyota Sequoia. The multi-fit hitch requires drilling to fit. The custom fit Curt hitch for the 2001 Toyota Sequoia is part # 13440 and does not require drilling to install. I have attached an installation video of this hitch for your reference.
If you are using the hitch to tow a trailer, the tongue weight capacity of the custom fit Curt hitch is 500 lbs so it allows you to tow as much weight as the Curt multi-fit hitch. You also need a ball mount to tow. I recommend Ball Mount Kit for 2 inch Hitches part # 989900. The kit comes with 2 different ball mounts with a variety of rise or drop you may need. It also includes the pin and clips you need to pin the ball mount into the receiver. I have attached a link to help you figure out the rise or drop you may need in a ball mount.
If you need to replace the wiring harness on your 2001 Toyota Sequoia the Tekonsha replacement wiring harness part # C55246 works well. It plugs into the factory connection point behind the bumper of the Toyota.
