The best trailer hitch for your 2018 Acura MDX is the etrailer.com Class III # e98840 because of its hidden design, robust towing capacity of 6,000 pounds, and the fact that it is made right here in the USA. I also really like the unique matte black finish on this particular hitch that gives it more of a rugged appearance and also helps to prevent any scratches.

This Class III hitch features a hidden-crosstube design where only the 2 inch receiver is visible behind the vehicle (see attached image). All of the hardware is included for a no-drill installation. I have attached an installation video that you can also use for reference.

Since you said you plan on doing some light towing you will also need to install a trailer wiring harness. For this I highly recommend the Tekonsha T-One # 118628 that will plug right into a factory port in the rear cargo area behind the driver's-side trim panel.
