What Prevents Tension Knob from Loosening When Yakima Locking Skewer # Y02118 is Locked
Published 02/22/2019 >
Question:
Hello! Quick question: even with the SKS lock, what prevents someone from unscrewing the knob and pulling the skewer out from the lockable side? Am I missing something? Lol. Sorry if this is a dumb question!

When you install the Yakima Universal 9-mm Quick-Release Skewer # Y02118 you use the adjustable knob to tighten the skewer and then when you close the lever on the other side you end up creating so much tightness that you would not be able to loosen the knob end of the skewer. The lever pulls the assembly so tight to the rack that you'd destroy the skewer before it would loosen. If you check out the review video link I attached you can see more info on this as well.
